A Last Very Merry Weekend

Last weekend at the Harbourside Christmas Market

Tomorrow we kick off the last weekend of the Harbourside Christmas Market! It’s been an amazing two weeks so far, with some of Bristol’s most innovative traders and most festive crowds coming together, and we’ve seen thousands of happy visitors down at the Market, more than ever before. Make sure you don’t miss out on the final weekend, because we intend to go out with a bang. Here’s what to look forward to at the last 2017 Market…

This Christmas, the Maker’s Market under the Covered Walkway has drawn huge crowds looking for the perfect gift for friends, family, coworkers, and… themselves. We’re really proud of our traders: a group of collectors, artists, photographers, makers, and much more, who have brought together the very best of products under one long roof. This weekend, among many others, you’ll find Brightstar Records for all the music lovers in your life; Boo To A Moose with their clever, unique fabric toys, badges, cushions, and bunting; the Bristol Metalwork Collective with their fascinating and perfectly crafted jewellery; and Bristolian favourite Lynda’s Loaf, with her homemade, delicious foccacia. If you’re lucky you’ll watch her make it in front of your very eyes.

Taking over new space by Bristol’s central Cascade Fountains is our Street Food Smorgasbord. For the past two weekends (and the Harbourside Market’s famous Street Food Thursdays), a bunch of Bristol’s most inventive foodies have dazzled visitors with flavours that are from all over and out of this world. This weekend there’s plenty of time to grab breakfast, lunch, and dinner down at the Market. We can’t even begin to pick favourites, but here’s a few worth trying: Momo Bar, for dumplings that’ll set your tastebuds sizzling; or try Gosha’s Pierogi the next day for a taster of Polish dumplings, complete with sweet and savoury options; all your cheese needs taken care of between From De Terre and For Mice and Men; burgers galore from many of Bristol’s favourites, including Bath Organic Farms, Buckland Burgers, Low n Slow, and others; get your Italian on with Wood Chop Pizza, Olive & Sage and The Italian Sausage, or venture further afield with delicious Mexican cuisine from The Bearded Taco, Brazilian delights from Tia Julia, and many, many tasty more.

The Harbourside Market Bar is raring to go with all of your mulled drink needs: our spicy mulled cider has been particularly popular this year. Try your hand at the Bristol-famous Coconut Shy, and enjoy the live music we’ll be bringing all weekend.

We’re ready for one last spectacular festive weekend. We hope you are too. #HeadToTheHarbour
